Available Positions
Program Staff (Outdoor Educators)
As a Program Staff member, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating a wide range of outdoor activities and ensuring the safety of our client groups, including schools, youth groups, Guides, and Scouts.
Role and Responsibilites
- Supervising and caring for clients
- Facilitating outdoor programs such as Canoeing, Ropes Courses, Camping/Bushcraft, Hiking, and Horseback Riding
- Participating in camp-provided training to enhance your skills
- Performing various camp facility support tasks
Program Coordinators
Program Coordinators are essential members of our Leadership Team at Camp Warwa. Their primary roles are to lead the Program Staff team and manage programs. During our peak spring and summer seasons, four Program Coordinators collaborate to ensure smooth operations. In the fall and winter seasons, there may be one or two Program Coordinators.
Role and Responsibilities
- Preparing and organizing programs
- Assisting in hiring Program Staff and Junior Counsellors
- Providing leadership, training, and support for the Program Staff and Junior Counsellors
- Holding specific community-level responsibilities, such as: Program Supplies & Equipment Management, Program Schedule Coordination, Staff Appreciation, and Leading Traditions

Qualifications
Program Staff
- Completed Grade 12
- Passion for working with children outdoors
- Crimibal Reference Check and Standar First Aid with CPR-C required
- Experience in outdoor pursuits or recreation is an asset
Program Coordinators
- Leadership experience and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children
- Experience in the outdoor education or summer camp industry, or current enrollment in a related program of study
- Role models who possess integrity, communication skills, and a strong value for community and nature
- Ability to work an average of five days per week, generally lasting around 12 hours per day in both spring and summer, with an on-call system managed with other coordinators
- Criminal Reference Check and Standard First Aid with CPR-C required
- A valid driver’s license is an asset, with a class 4 driver’s license preferred
