Dining Hall Est. 2021

Camp Warwa recognizes the monetary support and grants that directly impacted the creation of the Dining Hall. Our new dining hall has allowed us to offer more space for community to gather and increase our camper capacity for our summer programs. With this new expansion, we are able to help provide more children with the summer camp experience!

Social Enterprise Fund: Thank you for providing financing for our new dining hall. This finance was essential to suporting our project, enabling other matching grants, and giving us the confidence to move forward with our project. Donation: 1.1 Million

Alberta Government – Ministry of culture, Multiculturalism and Status of Women. Community facility enhancement Program (CFEP) Grant: Thank you for providing a matching grant, allowing for our dining hall project to move forward. With this grant, it allowed our project to be completed despite our operations being closed due to the impact of Covid in 2020. Donation: $649,523

Edmonton Community Foundation Grant: Thank you for funding the purchase of our kitchen equipment and supplies. The impact of this grant has reached each and every camper, group, and family that has made use of our new facility. Donation: $49,300

Lact Ste. Anne County: We greatly appreciate the support from our local municipality. Campers come from near and far to learn from our outdoor programs, and we hope to continue offering our programs to our local families across generations. Donation: $5,000

I C Henderson Family foundation Grant: Thank you for your support in helping with the expansion of camp, and allowing us to increase the cappacity of campers to our outdoor education programs. Donation: $5,000

Grass Roots Fundraising Campaign: Thank you to everyone who donated! From $5 to $1000, hundreds of individuals and families came together to help make a difference. Many of these donations came from our 2020 summer camp families, who chose to donate a portion of their camp fees to the project when camp was cancelled that summer. Your support has allowed us to offer our programs to even more campers; Thank you!


Donor and Volunteer Recognition Structure

Friends of Camp Warwa:

The Friends Level of recognition is for those who have donated $200 plus or have volunteered a few days at camp.  Those in this level recieve a small gift of appreiciation and thier name displayed on the website. 

Heros of Camp Warwa:

The Hero Level of recognition is for those who have donated $1,000 plus or have volunteered a few weeks at camp. Those in this level recieve a ‘Paddling Home” print and a profile on the website.

Champions of Camp Warwa:

The Champions Level of recognitions is for those who have donated $5,000 or more to Camp or have made a long term volunteer commitment. Those in this level recieve a name recignition on site at Camp Warwa, plus a profile on the website. 

The Circle of Honor:

The Circle of Honor is for those who have made a long lasting positive impact on the Camp Warwa Community. These people have given a remarkable contribution to Camp whether that be financially or through their volunteer work. Each year one member of the community will be inducted into the Circle of Honor which will be displayed in the Dining Hall at Camp Warwa.
